The open-source vector graphics app is back! Inkpad allows you to draw vector illustrations on the iPad, with scaleable and editable components that include paths, text, images, gradients, and layers. You can access your drawings from anywhere on your iPad or iCloud Drive, and you can export your drawings as SVG, PDF or PNG.

This is a revival of the open-source Inkpad app by Steven Sprang, which lived on the App Store several years ago, and brings it up to date for modern devices and iPadOS versions. Like Stevens original app, the source code is freely available under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 at https://github.com/baburton/Inkpad, where you are welcome to contribute or suggest improvements.

Features include:
- A pen tool for drawing paths and bezier curves;
- Compound paths, masks and groups;
- Text objects, with the ability to import your own fonts;
- Gradient fills and arbitrary dash patterns in strokes;
- Layers and grids;
- Import photos or SVG graphics;
- Export drawings in several vector and bitmap formats.

There have been several spinoffs from Stevens original Inkpad over the years. What makes this app different? It follows Stevens intention for a community project: the source code remains free for you to view, modify and contribute to (under the terms of the Mozilla Public License 2.0), and of course the app remains free for you to use.

Enjoy!
